Nose-Blindness: Do you Smell What I Smell?

Reyhan Harmanci, senior editor at Fast Company, gives us a reason to ask for a second opinion when cleaning house before our dinner parties: a recent study of so-called "nose-blindness" finds that people acclimate to the scent of their surroundings to the point that they no longer notice odors which others might find unpleasant.
